If there is any aspect of my service which is unclear, please contact me before making a purchase. In all instances, I want happy customers and will endeavour to make the transaction and experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

I value quality and personal customer service highly myself and try to give my customers the type of service I would hope to receive as a buyer.

Payment

Payment should be made through PayPal. You can pay by debit or credit card even if you don't already have a PayPal account - when presented with the PayPal log in screen, adjacent to the log in boxes, there should be a phrase something like "Don't have a PayPal account?" and below this may be various credit card logos. Please select the text link in this area worded something like "Continue" or "continue checkout" to pay without logging in to PayPal. Orders are sent when full payment is cleared - if you pay by PayPal e-cheque, please be aware that this can take several days. But card and PayPal balance payments should however be instant and won't delay shipping.

Shop Currency:

Etsy has recently introduced the ability for shops to list items for sale in their own domestic currency and I decided to take up the option to list my jewellery prices in GB Pounds Sterling.

On each item listing page, beneath my published price in Pounds, you should see an approximate price for the item, in your own chosen display currency. If you want to change the currency displayed, there's a link to do so at the bottom of every page.

Choosing to list in Sterling allows me to keep prices constant and consistent across all selling venues, which is fairer to both myself and to buyers, when eliminating the regular and unpredictable fluctuations in exchange rates between Sterling and US dollars.

When checking out through Etsy you will continue to see the price in GB Pounds Sterling, with your local currency approximation close by. Once logged in to PayPal to complete the transaction, you will pay in your own currency - PayPal will take care of that transaction and currency conversion for you - you will pay in your own local currency and PayPal will pay me for the item in Sterling. You will pay very close to the approximated Etsy price, as they use PayPal's own conversion rates to give you that figure. There are no additional fees on Etsy or PayPal added to that price for the currency exchange.

If you're unsure of anything, please feel free to contact me for assistance before making your purchase and I will work with you to make the transaction as smooth as possible. Please see Etsy's help page for how to make a purchase: http://help.etsy.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/339/kw/

Shipping

Please note that I'm in the UK and items are posted from the UK.

Items are sent first class post within the UK and as airmail 'small packets' to overseas destinations. Due to the practical consideration of reaching a post office, items are usually posted out the day after the order is completed.

Items are sent using standard postal services, but if you require a faster, tracked or guaranteed service, please contact me before purchase for a new price quotation and revised custom listing.

All jewellery items are supplied with gift quality presentation, but if you want specific arrangements for sending directly to gift-recipients, please outline your requirements and I'll be happy to oblige, where it is possible. Please ask in advance if you want to ensure your wishes can be accommodated.

I pack with great care and external packaging should more than adequately protect the item and I expect them to reach you in perfect condition. In the interests of preventing unnecessary wastage, external packaging materials are re-used where possible.

You will be advised when the item is dispatched and I always obtain proof of posting. But once the package is within the postal service, it is wholly beyond my control and the time it will take to arrive can only be estimated. The Royal Mail require 15 working days (3 weeks) before a UK item can be queried, longer for overseas (see below in respect of the US). If an item is required in a time-sensitive manner, please contact me before buying to discuss delivery options. Please note that I operate my shop in accordance with my local legal obligations, predominantly the EU Directive on Consumer Rights.

Customs and Duty:

International buyers are wholly responsible for any taxes or duties due on the item as it passes through customs and there may also be collection fees charged by the carrier.

So please familiarise yourself with the import thresholds applicable for goods for your region - I will always work with the customer to work out the best way to dispatch items, so please feel free to discuss options with me. Appropriate and accurately completed custom forms and invoices always accompany each overseas parcel. I will not put inaccurate information on customs forms for the purpose of evading import duties.

Parcels to the US:

For items going to the US, please note that Homeland Security have made significant security-informed changes to the routing and handling of mail to the US (i.e. it is no longer transported in the hold of passenger aircraft, but must be separately freighted to the US) and the new methods are likely to increase transit times over those experienced previously.

I label and address parcels carefully, fill in customs forms fully and accurately and dispatch promptly to expedite delivery as efficiently as possible, but simply cannot control or predict the time items might take to pass through these increased security measures, so your patience is appreciated.

Additional policies and FAQs

Sizes:

A good range of sizes are included in each listing, stated in both metric and imperial units. Please note that the photographs here tend to make small jewellery items look larger than they are in reality, so please do check the stated sizes against a ruler to ensure that the finished item will meet your needs.

Adjustments:

If some aspect of a piece does not meet your requirements - such as the length of a necklace, or the style or material of earwires, please feel free to ask if the item can be modified. Where it's practical and possible to do so, the item will be modified for you after purchase, although I reserve the right to make a price adjustment if it is warranted - although you would be advised of this before committing to the purchase.
